Cost of Living Increase effective July 1, 2024
To be eligible for a cost of living increase you
must be age 56 or older by June 30, 2024 and
have been retired at least one full year by July 1, 2024.
Members who retire on disability will receive 75 percent of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) regardless of age.
The CPI for 2023 was 3.3 percent. The 2024 annual increases are as follows:
Age Percentage of CPI Increase
56-58 - 30% = 0.99%
59-61- 60% = 1.98%
62 & ABOVE - 75% = 2.475%
As of January 1, 2022, the minimum monthly normal retirement benefit (Pension), is the amount equal to the greater of $60 per full year of service completed or $600. The increase will be reflected in your July 15th payment. Please check with your bank or credit union for your
deposit amount.
NOTICE!! CHANGE IN MEETING LOCATION
In the newsletter that was just sent out, under Membership was the information regarding 2024 dues. If you have not paid for this year the dues are now required. The annual amount is $48. If you have yours paid through your Credit Union account you are good.

Dues can also be automatically deducted from an existing LGW Credit Union account by calling the Credit Union at 901-680-7995 to make arrangements over the phone. Please decide how deductions will be withdrawn, bi-monthly $2.00 @ 24 payments; monthly $4.00 @12 payments or annual $48.00 @ 1 payment, prior to calling.
